We were told these litter mates ended up in a box on a porch. They were brought to the shelter very thin and with below normal temperatures. Now, they are healthy, chubby, happy and playful. Akitas are a bold, independent and stubborn breed that requires daily mental and physical exercise. Socialization, obedience training and pack leadership is a must for a well adjusted adult. They are not a dog for a first time dog owner. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, micro chip, age appropriate vaccinations, worming and started on flea and heart worm preventatives. If you have breed experience and are interested in adopting one of these puppies contact Pam at p1street@att.net and ask for an application.

****  Any Incomplete Pre-Adopts will not be considered,  We are Volunteers and our time is very important to us also and we cannot waist it on  incomplete adoption applications.

 Please be respectful and sensitive to our time we give to these animals and our mission to save lives.

Adoption fees, homechecks, and references are required. ALL of us  at RCHS work very hard to save these precious lives, and our only pay we get as volunteers, is a GOOD HOME LIFE for them, we all are volunteers, so please be patient and considerate of our time and responses.
