• This pretty girl with the sweet face is Kaya & she's looking for an active Forever Family! She's a Black Labrador Retriever mix who is 9 months old, spayed, current on her shots & microchipped. She's house trained, crate trained & sleeps in her crate at night. She loves being around dogs, hasn't met any cats and is very friendly with children. She's a big girl who's a bit clumsy and sometimes knocks little kids over in her enthusiasm so small children should be supervised around her. Kaya belonged to an older couple who took excellent care of her but she was too much for them as she's an energetic, playful girl who's going to grow more. She will thrive in an active home where she gets taken to dog parks, played with and walked or ran daily to keep her happy & healthy. This adorable pup usually has two things on her mind, playing or snuggling! Kaya is very sweet, loving & affectionate and has the most adorable wrinkles on her forehead that are the perfect place to kiss! She's at her happiest when she's close to her people and snuggling with them on the couch. She has a blast playing with the two dogs in her Foster Home and loves wrestling with them, chasing each other around the yard and playing tug-of-war. Her favorite toys are tennis balls, rope toys & anything that squeaks and her favorite place to go is the dog park! She really likes playing with kids, especially older ones who can keep up with her. Kaya is smart & a quick learner who knows how to sit, she learned the word 'crate' in just 5 minutes and is working on more commands. She's very food motivated so that will make it easy & fun to train her! She's working on leash training and doing well and she enjoys going for car rides, where she behaves nicely. She likes to sit and look out the window with her tail wagging happily. This lovable girl has brought a lot of happiness to her Foster Home, especially with her silly clumsiness and goofiness. She likes to sleep sprawled out on her back and she snores loudly! It's so funny & adorable to see this pretty girl with the sweet face snore! Kaya can't wait to find a family of her own and she promises to bring a lot of laughter & happiness to her Forever Home! Adoption fees, homechecks, and references are required. ALL of us  at RCHS work very hard to save these precious lives, and our only pay we get as volunteers, is a GOOD HOME LIFE for them, we all are volunteers, so please be patient and considerate of our time and responses.
