I thought I was adopted. The man and lady that took me home, and after only a week, contacted RCHS to let them know I was very loving, getting along great, even tolerating their dog - BUT - they would have to return me because "people we know have told us that if we have children in 5 years, we would have to return Maggie, because the children will torment her"... WHAT? I don't mind children, and there are millions of FAMILIES around the world that have cats! I don't want to be with those people anyway - I want people that will always love me! I've been FIV/FELV tested, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We are Volunteers and our time is very important to us also and we cannot waist it on
incomplete adoption applications. Please be respectful and sensitive to our time we give to these animals and our mission to save lives.
Adoption fees, homechecks, and references are required. ALL of us
at RCHS work very hard to save these precious lives, and our only pay we get as volunteers, is a GOOD HOME LIFE for them, we all are volunteers, so please be patient and considerate of our time and responses.
