Please welcome our new arrival Chief. He is around 6 years old, 35lbs, and an Aussie mix. This guy came to us after his family failed him. They put him outside a year ago and now they decided to abandon him. This guy has some obvious trust issues but he also has the ability to trust. He takes some time to warm up to people but we have also witnessed the capabilities of alot of love once he trusts someone. He has not given up hope of finding his forever home. Once he gains trust with you he loves hugs, belly rubs, loads of affection, and being praised by calling him a good boy. Chief prefers a quieter place. The shelter is not a place for this boy. He doesn’t mind other dogs but prefers them to just leave him alone. Not sure about cats. He is a work in progress. A diamond in the rough. Is there a person out there willing to open their hearts up to Chief. One who understands there will be good days and bad days for him. Someone that can see the love Chief has to give and will be willing to earn his trust? Please help RCHS keep our promise to him, and give him a fur ever home.

****  Any Incomplete Pre-Adopts will not be considered,  We are Volunteers and our time is very important to us also and we cannot waist it on  incomplete adoption applications.

 Please be respectful and sensitive to our time we give to these animals and our mission to save lives.

Adoption fees, homechecks, and references are required. ALL of us  at RCHS work very hard to save these precious lives, and our only pay we get as volunteers, is a GOOD HOME LIFE for them, we all are volunteers, so please be patient and considerate of our time and responses.
